Allison W Hill (Resident Playwright/Dramaturg)
Allison is new to the Williamsport area, and is very excited to see her works performed for new audiences. She has previously had two works produced across the country, A Night of Blacker Darkness, adapted from a novella by New York Times’ Bestselling Author Dan Wells, and Laughter and Light: A Celtic Holiday Celebration. She hopes to stretch her wings with Off Kilter Theatre Company
Jill Summerville (Resident Playwright/Dramaturg))
Performer, writer, and scholar Jill Summerville had a chronic case of stage fright until she earned her Phd in Theatre in 2014. Her dissertation is a study of the physical, metaphorical, and sociocultural complexities of putting wheelchairs onstage. She is especially passionate about finding a place in the spotlight for her own wheelchair, Chitara. Jill has written nine plays, and she has performed in eight of them. She has been lucky enough to serve as a dramaturg for Antioch College, The University of Houston, The Ohio State University, The Solstice Theatre Company, and The Evolution Theatre Company. Since she is an actor who can’t wait tables, she is currently working as a freelance writer. She has written essays for several web and print publications, including The Washington Post (Hold applause). This is her first collabortion with Theatre Off-Kilter, but she sincerely hopes it will not be her last.
